Daily scout — how it works

The daily job scout is an automated pass that surfaces fresh, well-matched roles each day and writes them to a dated leads file. It reads a single config file for who I am and what I want, so changing the search is just editing that file.

Sources are added/removed as I learn what converts.

Output

Each run writes a dated file (e.g. 2026-06-30.md) with:

  • Strong fit (new) — direct-company roles that pass every hard filter, each with a one-line angle on which case studies to lead with.
  • Worth a look — roles to verify (scope unclear or older posting).
  • Checked & dropped — an honest log of what was filtered out and why (full-time, agency, motion, etc.), so nothing is silently lost.
